2021 Jaguar XF | MotorWeek Road Test

Jaguar may be down to just one sedan in their now mostly SUV lineup, but that doesn’t mean they’re neglecting their 4-door faithful and their heritage. For 2021, the 2nd generation XF gets new styling, new technologies, and very likely more than a few new fans.

As an XF owner and MW fan since the beginning, glad to finally see and hear John describe my favourite car!

This has so much more character than many of its competitors. However, they really should have made a supercharged v6 an option and the higher output 4 the standard.

I don't know why Jaguar doesn't sell more of these. I have a '15 XF Portfolio 3.0 AWD (with about 47, 000 miles on the odometer). It's gorgeous and still gets stares and compliments. I love it and, other than a cracked lower radiator hose (which was pretty $ to fix because you have to remove the supercharger and dig down into the chassis to reach it), it's been trouble free.

Only turbo 4-cylinder offerings??? That's a hard pass for me.

This is probably the only car that has kept almost the same body exterior looks since it was first released..I love it

Recently traded my XE (the XF’s compact cousin) for an E-Class, which is obviously a monumental leap. The E has been a fantastic car, but the XE is an experience I will always remember for its incredible road handling, stout performance, top-tier comfort, and excellent reliability. My experience may not speak for all Jaguar owners, but if the XF had offered the Supercharged V6 or V8 of years past, I would’ve went to the XF in a heartbeat. Nevertheless, their turbo-4 is among the best I’ve driven and it honestly doesn’t leave me wanting much for daily needs, I just wanted something a bit more powerful this time

Love my 2018 XF (25T) & @ 34K+ miles it still looks new.

Beautiful car. Understated elegance. I prefer the heritage of older style Jags, but I wouldn't turn down an XF if handed the keys to one.

Beautiful interior. Nice to see a screen not plopped on top of the dash. A little surprised it only has a turbo 4.

The interior isn't my thing. I like the wood and leather lined club room that Jaguar used to have. The styling is attractive, but no longer oozes class. And where did the XJ6 executive sedan go? John Davis continues to be the best and a national treasure. 👏

wow the ash wood looks way nicer on camera than in then configurator. I would never pick it based off the configurator

How many years has it been for Motorweek? Seems like at least 40

As so many have already said here, why is the 4 banger the only option? I mean, they offered the Supercharged V6 in the XE when it first came out...no reason they can't do it here too.

I love this car. More than likely will be the next car I purchase. I think the 4C engine is fine. I’m in my 40s so I’m not racing anyone. If I want something w power than maybe go for the f-type

I hope the do a V6 and a V8 for this generation before they stop doing combustion engines

They need to put their turbo inline six in order to succeed powerful and efficient

A Stinger does everything this car can--cheaper--faster--more reliable and with twice the warranty.

I won’t get a turbo 4 if it’s the base engine luxury car but I will if it’s the top engine in a Honda Accord mazda6 kia k5 etc

Everyone's making a comment about a 4 cylinder is cylinder I have a Mercedes Benz 300 E isn't it E with a 4 cylinder Turbo it has more than adequate power.
And before that I had E classes with 6 cylinders and 8 cylinders.
What do you want this is an entry level car for the luxury market. Its entry level it's not an S class.
I think it's a lot of car for the money.
Look at what a new Toyota cost
