Permaculture or sustainable farming has AWAYS had the objectives that you call "true sustainability". But, you are very correct, calling it "regenerative" is much better marketing, even if the meaning is exactly the same.

Ok, i am 62 and i have read a lot of books, some for entertainment and some for education. People may be reading books far less these days, but the masses (and me) are learning far more from the internet than i ever did reading books. Did you ever try to read an encyclopedia when you were a kid? Now we have wikipeadia, podcasts, etc. and education is no longer restricted to the classroom. So... the 70% of americans that never read a book, more of them read then ever before, it is just not books.

Thanks - excellent and very informative video that both confirmed a lot of the information I had and added in pieces of this complex puzzle. Big picture concepts brought to life - well done.

At 36min, it makes me think. We cleaned up against acid rain, which stopped hundreds of tons of sulphur being dumped on the soil, which stopped thousands of tons of carbon being stabilised...etc.

as a taxpayer in the US, were are the "incentives" coming from. My last tax increase because Texas just resided that I could pay an additional $175.00 per month in prop tax and insurance, has put my family in an extreme financial condition. We live retired on SS at an altitude of 875 ft 400 miles from the coast that suffered the hurricane of 2 years back. While I would like to use only the best of food, I can"t pay more for what I have available. Any suggestions to overcome my situation?

I want to build a climate battery greenhouse. The goal would be to have soil have a temperature of 65 degrees F year round.
What would that do the soil health in terms of fulvic vs humic substances? Would be the best practice to improve the soil health when temp is 65 F year round? Wouldn't earthworms provide us with nutrients in an advanced condition for absorption by the plants? If my earthworms breed 12 months a year, I would have to harvest worms at dusk for sale!!

If the CO2 level is too low that would become a detriment to plant productivity and growth.

Lot of inaccurate statements. But i agree we need more regenerative and sustainable farming practices utilized.

It would take way longer than 13 years to draw down CO2. Remember that much of the extra CO2 has gone into the oceans.
