Did anyone else snipe him while he was in the wheelchair at that dock? Probably one of the funniest things in a video game I've ever seen because he just blows up and his wheelchair comes flying at you.

The End is actually pretty terrifying and badass when you think about it, He's been in the woods for so long that he not only knows the woods, but he practically IS the woods (the photosynthesis, the fact that the snake on his leg or any of the wildlife didn't eat or kill him). Not only that, but he's called the father of sniping for fucks sake. Fucking legend.

First time I faced The End I killed his bird and ate it in front of him, I felt so guilty because I didn’t realize that was his bird and then it came back as a ghost in his death scene.

I love how this game focused on one on one fights instead of all man vs machine missions.

On PS2, if you save the game on this stage. Reset the console. Go to settings to change the date a week into the future. Start the game again on that section and the sniper dude (The End), will be dead due to old age.

Crazy to think he was around in cowboy/pioneer times. Would love to see a back story on all his adventures. A very unique character in all of Metal Gear.

Big Boss - Fights a sniper (The End) in the middle of the forest.

Solid Snake - Fights a sniper (Sniper Wolf) in a middle of a blizzard.

I will never forget playing against this boss and finishing it the first try without detection. it took me like 40 mins or more. I was completely immersed. It was probably around 20 mins in and the thought of dying/replaying it over is what keeps me from being careless and I don't think I ever stood up. Just crawling all over the place and using binoculars to spot the glint of his scope.

Honestly don't know what my favourite boss fight in this game is. They're all so good. I mean you have The Pain, The Fear, The Ladder, The End, The Fury and The Joy. Hard to pick just one.
