STUDIO GHIBLI FEST is back in theaters and bigger than ever – highlighting all ten of Hayao Miyazaki’s iconic animated films with Studio Ghibli, as well as the first-ever North American screenings of SPIRITED AWAY: Live On Stage, featuring two separate full performances filmed during the production’s acclaimed run in Tokyo last year.

It’s a year of celebrating animation master Hayao Miyazaki with the first-ever nationwide retrospective of his Studio Ghibli works, including several anniversary titles: the 35th Anniversary screenings of My Neighbor Totoro, 15th Anniversary screenings of Ponyo, and 10th Anniversary screenings of The Wind Rises. STUDIO GHIBLI FEST 2023 has also added more screening dates than ever before to meet increased fan demand.

Each of the 10 animated features will be shown in both original Japanese and English dubbed versions and will include exclusive selections from the documentary series 10 Years With Hayao Miyazaki.

It’s very Miyazaki themes and I love that. His line up of films is one of the greatest of all time. Also the fact that you got the stage play is so cool. I can’t wait to catch any of these in theaters. I watched Princess Mononoke last year and was not disappointed.

I never get tired of seeing this trailer before the movie starts.
So far, this has been the best experience I've ever had in a theater. The audience that shows up to the original versions of the films are the best. Utter silence. Never got to see these movies in theaters and I'm glad I finally got to experience it. Princess mononoke and Nausicaa were easily the best. I wish they would do this more often

❗Reminder for folks interested in the "live on stage" Spirited Away: Its NOT a live play! It a recording of the 2022 play in Japan. (Which means I'm pretty sure its only available in Japanese with English subtitles.)

it's such an underrated movie, and it's one of my most favorites ever. I can't wait to see it! ❤️

Gibli's are among very rare cinema that has a life of it's own. As you watch it one after another, you become a part of it. Every scene, score, dialogue, face you can reminisce on every single Gibli's film. A distant family, every character to each other it feels like and every emotion they have feels absobed in myself.
Innocense is it's core, a godly creature tamed into a motion picture.

I was looking forward to attending an annual festival in cinemas regarding several Studio Ghibli films; some of all of them by the true total amount were turned an English adaptation by Disney; I am a giant fan of that company and this year is its 100th birthday.

Ponyo is literally my favorite Ghibli movie. Ever. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. It’s also my first anime film, I remember I first watched it back in 2010. It’s a very underrated film and I highly recommend watching it. Also what is the name for the song in the background? (at 0:18) It sounds beautiful!!

Some of the Studio Ghibli films are parodies of ancient but famous fairytales. My favorite Studio Ghibli films are Tales from Earthsea and Ponyo.
