Ares III Crew Finds Out Watney is Alive | The Martian (2015) Scene

I thought this scene was well acted by the cast. The script isn't anything mind-boggling, but the actors' performances are what I enjoyed about this.

Incredible movie. No one dies (not even Sean Bean), and there's no villain or antagonist other than Mars itself. And it has the Winter Solider, Sue Storm, Luis, Wong, Cheetah, Boromir, Childish Gambino, Grace, and Harry Dunne in it.

The thing about this scene is that no one is even the least bit happy that he's alive. What we get is the overwhelming dread that being left on Mars is worse than death.

Such a well-played, devastating and emotional scene. I really got drawn into the emotion of this scene the first time I saw the movie.
Very well done. If I were in charge and made the call like the commander did, I would feel the same and it would be a really heavy hard "cross to bear"... Great scene.

The most unrealistic thing about this movie is the HUGE empty spaces of the ship and the base on Mars.

Greatest Marvel/DC crossover so far!
