When you consume narratives of abusive relationships, you will start attracting that. What sort of protagonists you watch will become the sort of people who enter your life. I started watching Korean dramas 15 years ago, and months into this new consumption shift, a Korean man who acted a lot like the protagonists I was vibing with came into my life and we had a fantastic relationship. Which ended much like how a Korean drama ends. 😂 The parents' disapproval. 😅 Choose your narratives SO wisely! Years later, I watched "To Sir with Love" with my students, and weeks later met my husband--a very well-educated, beautiful man from Africa. These things are not coincidences. We are the co-creators of our lives, and what we watch and read influences our imaginations, and what we imagine we will go on to live. Unplug from negatives narratives, completely.
