Chestnuts make everything better! They are so delicious and the house smells so good while they are cooking. They are such a treat that, yeah, I guess I don’t mind the cold and snow either as long as I can eat freshly roasted chestnuts.

As someone with depression, i love Winter but at the same time this time of year makes me have the worst depressive episodes🤷🏽‍♀️

I love winter in Japan haha. Sure it's kinda cold and dark but somehow it feels right for me and I don't get depressed at all. I love waking up early watching the sun rising over snowfall, looking kinda muted. Also, shopping for ingredients to make a hotpot, making a hotpot, and baking a pie when it's cold are some of the best things ever.
Clearing the snow off the roof and driveway is a total pain, though, so I totally get it.

We have the same sort of winter time here in Scotland, it's been starting over the last month, our dull nights start around 3.30p.m at it's peak. Another soggy wet winter ahead, we don't get as much snow anymore, it used to provide a lovely diffused light at night. Roll on springtime. Let's batten the hatches. Good luck Germany

Good Lord! Girl i feel you to the deepest level. When I studied abroad, and winter was near, I had to cry throught the pain of those next five months while looking at my favorite food just to survive each day. But you got these!!! Just fill your days with whatever gives you comfort, and when you least expect those five months would be over.
