Did you know UI can do this for you? on Date column - filter > Date/Time filters > Is Latest
I always use this way to remind myself of the syntax!

Thank you for this video! I'm desperate about a very simple task that I can't get: how to increment a numeric variable? Kind of this: var = 2, var = var+1. In all other languages it works, but in Powerquery it doesn't. Looks like you can't reference last value of a variable to increment it by a constant.

No to rain on your parade, Ruth, although your application of this trick is interesting. It's well described in articles about how to do non-equi join in Power Query. You know, when you have a table of ranges and your join condition is fact date between start date and end date of the range. This way one would get range's ID and put it into the fact table, instead of coding ranges in DAX. I know it's a bit advanced star schema sorcery, but useful nonetheless.
