You all know what you guy are thinking. "After completing an era, players must defeat two bosses: a "rival" character and a main boss".
Well, Let me give you something new type. It's called "Stage boss"! After Acts 1&2 in each stage, a third icon with a Time Eater face next to Act 2 will appear. Which means you unlocked a boss battle. And here they are:

Green Hill - Egg Wrecker
Chemical Plant - Egg Poison
Sky Sanctuary - Mecha Sonic Mark II
Speed Highway - Egg Walker
City Escape - F-6t Big Foot
Seaside Hill - Egg Hawk
City Escape - Iblis Phase 1
Rooftop Run - Egg Devil Ray
Planet Wisp - Refreshinator

You can also level up for Sonics.
Monder Sonic Can level he's Ring Energy and Speed
and Classic Sonic can level he's Spin Dash and Elemental Shields

The Elemental Shields can be based on Kirby's Copy Abilities.

Trick Ramp QTE and Blue Spring QTE
It works just like it doses in Sonic Unleashed, hitting ramps causing a QTE to appear. If you succeed, you can go to top paths. However, if you fail the QTE, you fall to the bottom path. And in some cases, you'll fall to your death. So, make sure stay focused.
