Glad they were rescued. Just a public service announcement here, anyone going into the back country should have a Garmin in-reach. The devices start around $350 and its $15 a month subscription. you can turn it off when you aren't using it. It has the ability to send an SOS via satellites and even lets you send text messages, check weather, and more, without cell phone reception. Also add on the the search and rescue insurance that covers the cost of rescues up to $100, 000 for $40 per year. Your health insurance DOES NOT cover search and rescue. If this person doesn't have it, that lift out with a helicopter just cost them 20-30k at least.

I hope it wasn't Kevin Nealon or one of his guests. I hope whoever it is recovers quickly.

So many idiot hikers lately either they get lost or push the limits they can handle...

What the heck was he doing that would require chopper rescue? Did he slipped and fell down a cliff or something?
