Dramatic video captures injured hiker’s dizzying helicopter rescue

An injured hiker was taken for a dizzying ride in Phoenix, Arizona, when the basket of a rescue helicopter began spinning wildly as she was being airlifted, and the dramatic rescue was captured on camera.

The 75-year old woman fell at Piestewa Peak, a mountain in the middle of the city, and as helicopter crews attempted to lift her in a basket, she began to spin faster and faster.

A local fire official said she was treated for nausea and dizziness but was otherwise unharmed from the dramatic ride. June 5th, 2019.
