In this video Doctor O'Donovan explains key things you need to know about the increased risk of Prostate Cancer amongst black men.

1 in 4 Black men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Black men are more likely to get prostate cancer than other men, who have a 1 in 8 chance of getting prostate cancer. We don’t know why, but it might be linked to genes. We're funding research to find out why Black men are at higher risk of prostate cancer than other men.

You may also be more likely to get prostate cancer as a Black man if:

- you are aged 45 or over – and your risk increases as you get older
- your father or brother has had it
- your mother or sister has had breast cancer.

My GP missed all my signs of prostate cancer 8 years went by even though I told him I was peeing 16 times per night! They thought it was a UTI problem until 2019 he did a PSA test which came back 109 I'm now stage 4 prostate cancer PSA 430.4 death is coming soon around 14 months I think I've got left, I nearly forgot my Gleason is 9 aggressive cancer! I'm now 61 I may see 62y old but I ain't fazed because I've always had FAITH!

Black men in England, DO NOT WAIT UNTIL AGE 50!!!


My prostate cancer was caught at age 45 here in the U.S because of my Black female Doctor. I didn't show any symptoms. I also would have never lived to see age 50 if I would have listen to medical data.

Need to be taking vitamin d with high fat foods. Black people get prostate cancer more because they naturally have way lower vitamin d because they can’t absorb it as much bc skin color

On to your testicular cancer video, I have a bump like a ridge on the bottom side of my right testis, it goes away with a hot bath or randomly throughout the day. But it randomly gets hard and has that ridge on the middle towards the bottom. Slight throbbing in it lately. But it definitely starts getting hard and swells when I work out or do psyical activity
