I met proof in 2001, me and some friends were on a flight from London to NY and proof was with D12 on the same flight as us. It was a week after 9/11 and our flight received a bomb threat mid flight so our flight was diverted to Goose bay in Newfoundland. We ended up staying the night there and the airline brought all passengers to a hall to feed us. In the hall there was a pool table and we played pool with D12 and drank free beer on the airline. Was such a great memory and D12/proof were really nice guys, crazy to think he died over a pool game 5 years later.

Unpopular opinion: Proof was actually a better freestyler than Em was (at least starting out). There’s this old freestyle they did for MTV I saw a while ago…I was more impressed by Proof’s bars and flow…they both did phenomenal even tho they were just messing around.
