"Evolve" is the key word. Humans evolved from less capable creatures that evolved from even less capable creatures that... and so on. AI is just the next step in that process. Most, of us will be dead in 100 years. All of us will be in 1000 (probably). How long can the human race itself last? AI is our shot at cultural immortality.
