Never apologize for Jesus. He is the only one who can save your soul. Trust in him and him only.

Keller’s answer is compassionate and beautiful. This question is troublesome. If we were not troubled by this could we possibly have the love of Jesus in us? I too trust Gods mercy, grace and love is greater than mine. God will be just in this situation.

Nobody goes to Hell for ignorance but everyone will be judged fairly according to their knowledge as is make clear in James 4:7, "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."

““Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭

I hear people say: "You believe in the Bible because it tells you what you want to hear." This man's question highlights just ONE of the things I DON'T want to hear... but still, I believe.

Narrow is the path, and few shall find it . Praise the sweet, Holy name of Jesus Christ for saving a sinner like me !

Only Jesus can save my soul. I'm an unclean sinner in desperate need of His redemption and grace. Only by His grace can I be saved. I can't do anything to earn this myself and no one else can do enough good on my behalf to save me. Only Jesus can save my soul.

I think it's also important in this discussion to remember what Paul says about those who never have heard of the name of Jesus, that they are essentially judged based on what light they are given. So just because you don't believe in Jesus doesn't mean God won't mercifully consider your case. But, if you have had a chance to know what is true and right and don't act on that chance, then you stand judged by God.

As a young man, used to feel the way many have expressed within these comments, trying to understand how Jesus could seem so exclusive, even cruel. But now that I seek Christ, His love and mercy are infinite, His compassion and love are far beyond human understanding. All those "unbelievers" will be loved and given a chance to know Christ. Only a willful, knowing rejection of God will not end well-but that fate must be chosen by the soul.
For those who think science has proven God dead, read Meyer's "Return of the God Hypothesis" where you'll learn what dead-ends cosmology, physics and biology have become in attempting to prove a materialistic creation of the Universe. In fact, the opposite has occurred, and science now has to content with absolute, factually based, logic that something outside the Universe created it and us.
And in theology, evidence is now surfacing that instead of the Gospels being written hundreds of year later-how about years 1-3? Close enough for ya?
At some point, one has to BELIEVE! HAVE FAITH! Sometimes that just means forgiving what we humans considers God's indifference and cruelty. That's where the faith in His ultimate Being comes in. God is not known via the intellect (wasn't that apparent in the New Testament?). The Jewish religious leaders were the lawyers/academics/clerics of their day. Did seeing the Son of God in front of them convince them? Yet time and again, the poor, ignorant professed they gave Him their heart. That's what Christ wants.
Besides-He's a lot smarter that you

My answer to this question is, where is it written in any other religious texts does it say what other gods apart from the God of the bible, came to this world, to seek and to save that which is lost, came to suffer and die for those he had created, and to shed his blood to bring human beings back into a right relationship with God. That is why the God of the bible is the one true living God. Amen

God gave two choices. Narrow gate or wide gate.
Matthew 7:13-21
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Only Jesus saves from hell. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Jesus shed His blood for our sins (Ephesians 1:7 KJV). Water baptism DOESN'T save us (1st Corinthians 1:17 KJV). We are saved by grace through faith, not our works (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).

Difficult but great question and poignant answers. Thank you for taking the time to find and share this, Brandon! God bless you, your family, and ministry!

To define God as a 'king' before identifying him as a Father is why people are turned off of Christianity. Jesus taught us to pray 'our Father', not 'Our King'.

RC Sproul says that but he really doesn’t believe it. He’s a Calvinist. He believes God chooses who gets to be saved. He believes some people are predestined to go to hell.
