When I saw the title of the video, I though of "Batman vs Superman"

I'm coming back here to share feedback on my real IELTS speaking test which felt like 8 minutes. You don't have the convenience for a 12-15 minutes duration speaking test, since other IELTS candidates are waiting in the exam hall for their turn, and the examiner takes 15 minutes prior to a speaking test to get ready. My suggestion to score Band 8-8.5 in a short-duration speaking test - answer the question in your first sentence, then follow it up with an example which should include date/time/location details. Use collocations (problem, solution, advantage, disadvantage, view, opinion, etc.) and essential words (like correlated, subsequent, facilitate, immense, etc.) in your responses.

"Can you elaborate a bit?" right after he elaborated it lmao

Fun fact: even an IELTS examiner also said "a" when they're trying to find words in their head:)

That is an incredible interview, watching an expert of ielts taking an ielts speaking portion of the exam))) I honestly felt that it was a bit tough for the examiner to ask questions from Sir Adrian)

Years ago, I got 9 and my English wasn’t that perfect. Good accent is very important even if they say it’s not. Do your best to use a few expressions that are normally used by native speakers.

This video makes me feel like watching Barcelona vs Real Madrid. You guys are amazing, and the idea of an examiner interviews another examiner is brilliant.

It's really smart to use "for instance" when you try to give examples to the questions

Thank you! I have been watching Band 9 & 8 videos for a month before my IELTS test. I would like to thank Adrian for his videos which had helped me to gain confidence in my speaking test.

Here are the questions asked by the examiner:
Part 1
Do you work or study?
What do you want to work as in the future?
Do you have a lot of furnitures at home?
What is your favourite furniture?
What was the best furniture that others had given you?
Do you play sports?
What is the most played sport in your country?
Do you like that sport?

Part 2
Share about an experience of a embarrassing situation in public
(I talked about a child throwing tantrum in public as his parents did not want to buy the toys that he wanted)

Part 3
What would you do if you were the parent if the child?
How do you teach children values?
How has the teaching methods changed over time?
Do you think the society are declining in values (like people are less honest)

I don’t remember all of the questions, these are some of the questions that I remember 😁

Good luck and all the best 💪 to the ones taking IELTS in the future

-What is your favorite room?

Thank you so much for posting all these videos! I followed these for quite some time before taking my first test. I ended up getting a Band 8.5! I got 8.5 in Speaking also. However, I must say that my experience was quite different from these videos. Once or twice, I rambled on and on and the examiner had to stop me. I corrected myself a few times too, but my fluency was top notch.
