i saw someone say that vibrato wasn't a vocal technique, but a consequence of good technique. if that's true, can't even imagine how good one has to be to do something that smooth

Freddie said he can't control his vibrato. It just happens sometimes and sometimes doesn't which adds to the emotion of the vocals.

It’s what we call middle east and northern African vibrato. You can listen similar vibratos in Greeks, Persians, Turkish, Arabs, etc.
One prime example is Faozia.

Oh man Freddie was just made to be a legend. I just wish he could have lived a couple months longer to get the newer medications. It’s so heartbreaking. He was GOAT.

The fact that Freddie never took singing lessons is mind-blowing

This channel is probably one of the reasons Freddie Mercury is one of my favorite vocalists

He had a very good control over his incredibly fast vibrato ❤

Freddy Mercury, and Queen as a whole band, was my gateway to Rock music from 60s-80s.

Oh my god it’s almost not even vibrato at that point! It’s almost a trill! That is incredible!

People tend to think that MJ took more risks but if you listen to Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie, where Freddie hits the note G5 (really impressive) or The Kiss by Queen, where he hits the note A5 (that's juste two songs there's a lot more) you'll see that he can go really high but he can also go deep, for exemple in The Golden Boy by Freddie and Montserrat Caballe, where he hits A2. And also you should listen to his vibrato, for exemple when he sang Somebody To Love at the Hammersmith Odeon live in 1979, even if you slow it down his vibrato still goes fast and consistent while hitting a high note.

But I'm litteraly in love w/ every Queen song and every Queen member so of course I prefer Freddie, but, I'm not objective at all, I'm just reaally really fan
I believe that both Freddie and Mj were musical genuises :)

Sorry if my English is not perfect I'm not a native speaker 😅
