SAILING the FORGOTTEN ISLANDS | Sailing Talia Ep. 50

Hey everyone!

So after almost a month living at anchor we need to find a harbour to re-provision Talia (we're getting HUNGRY!). This week we depart the paradisical anchorage of Gerolimionas and head to Kalamos Town Quay before being hit by surprisingly strong gusts on our way to Kalamos' sister island called Kastos.

These two islands are locally referred to as the Forgotten Islands as they're a bit off the beaten tourist track... and we love them all the more for it!

Another great post from Sailing Talia. Your coverage of Med cruising in particular Greece has been nothing short of stellar, no wonder you don't want to leave the reasons definitely come across crystal clear. Always considered my first choice of sailing vessel to be a catamaran until I saw your Beneteau Oceanis just an amazing monohull. The Talia crew obviously play a big part in that choice too as you seem to be so comfortable sailing her not sunshine and rainbows all of the time I'm sure but none the less comfortable. Also speaks to the quality of your relationship sharing duties 50/50 and respecting each other that comes across very clear too. Thanks for the latest episode and looking forward to next week. Yea, you're back. I was worried that you got caught up with all the forest fires in Greece. Best BBQ on the beach? Easy, Nova Scotia butter clams freshly dug up and cooked on a Coleman stove on the beach in their own juices. Words to live by, "If the water looks like Bombay Sapphire".

Kalamos is normally fine unless you go really close in; don't suggest you test it but your transducer is probably set to read from the bottom of the keel
