Felt like I was watching the Oscars "In Memoriam" ... remembering those we lost. Great vid. We enjoyed.

Great to see my brothers channel on here! They are still living on Prism, working on another HC 33 preparing to get back to cruising. They recently visited us and helped with boat projects so will be showing up in our upcoming videos :)

Thanks for putting this together.
A lot of great channels and great adventures.
Good luck to them all. They made a lot of people happy

I’m a retired lightkeeper from Canada; something I frequently noticed was the number of sailboats traveling up and down the west coast, even in fair winds, without a stitch of sail up...I mean, why have a sailboat at all?

I stumbled onto wicked salty five or six years ago they were the first channel that I started following it is because of them I went down the rabbit hole and now enjoy multiple different YouTube channels. I still miss seeing them.

Sea Change was by far the best quality production from every aspect...real pros. Documentary quality that no other channels come close to....sailing magic carpet has moments of brilliance that could be a contender as her skills and imagination continue to improve

Abandoned Comfort was also a good one. They disappeared a year ago. Last video was of them hiking in Asia.

Thanks so much for this sailing video. So many of these creators b came part of my day-to-day as i was preparing to become a live aboard. Sad that they are not currently video-ing but certainly understand. Sea Change continues to be our bar for our videos. Love all of them. Their contributions spoke to so many of us. This is beautiful closure.

Prayers for Yulian. If I were diagnosed with a bad disease and I hadn't played around on this planet's beautiful oceans in a beautiful sailboat, that would be my number two goal..behind beating the disease. Get well Yulian!

The sailing life is an amazing adventure that suddenly you may need to simply decide leave it. It brings amazing highs and some pretty deep lows. For sure it’s not easy. Trying to do good videos while sailing and living that life must be incredibly consuming. The dedication of folks who reclaimed Alma is amazing and sadly their story has taken such serious turn. If you know any of these ‘missing sailors’ or not this video is a bit melancholy. Who knows, they all may be happier than ever while not showing us their lifes. Best wishes to them all for what they offered us and what their future holds.

Of these I followed Finding Avalon practically from the first video. I really enjoyed their journey and do miss seeing videos from them. From the outset they made it clear they were on a one way trip home. The last few videos they uploaded were their arrival back in Australia, the process of selling SV Finding Avalon, and saying goodby. I had hoped they might just decide to complete a circumnavigation once they checked in home but they were good to their word. Wherever they are, and whatever they are up to now, I wish them well.

p.s. Btw Xanthe and Jackson, if you see this you are both still Rock Stars in my book. :)

Sailing SV Bora Bora was/is great. She got pregnant so they headed back to UK. If you reading this SV BB hope all is well and congratulations with your baby. Stay safe!

This was brilliant, thank you. Videos show the nicer parts of the sailing lifestyle, but there are many challenges that we forget when we watch from afar. All of these people are stars in my book for what they did share with us and I hope they are all finding continued happiness today no matter where they are or what they are doing. 👏 👏 👏

A young couple had a short series called “boat life” and got me hooked on all theses sailing showers about 5 years ago then they just disappeared it’s a shame, they had such potential and were so interesting and full of content that kept you coming back. If y’all are still out there thank you.

Eventually they run out of steam and find it more and more difficult to create content that keeps people engaged enough to keep coming back week after week. Some are better story tellers than others and make a success of it and maybe even a living of sorts. When you have to keep churning out contents it very quickly becomes apparent that it's not all a bed of roses and you find yourself working harder at this job than what you did at your previous job before you went sailing.

That was great. These sailors are like part of our lives as we watch them pursue their dreams. I miss each one of them. Seems like its vogue now to have a sailing channel on youtube, but these were the originators of the genre.

Living with the tide, is another channel that has gone missing in action. The last video was 4 months ago as they are restoring a really old 1905 ( I think) sailing vessel. They were in Scotland last time I heard.
