Man, there really is something endearing about how both GGnS shorts play out. I appreciate that it's not trying to be so up its own butt with cynicism like a lot of adult cartoons about the service industry tend to be (not that they're bad, of course). Everyone just kinda exists, with no one to really root for or against, and there's no real lesson to walk away with.

It really is just slice-of-life, if a bit absurd and chaotic.

Kudos to Sarah Schmidt for her bizarre sense of humor, vibrant style, and oddly relatable settings and characters. Anyone who's worked part time at a gas station, store, fast food, or anything can relate to Lulu just quietly watching the insanity.

I like how frantic everything is. Very true to life. And the characters are fantastic

The angles of the shots, the choppiness of the character movements, the inconsistent character models. It’s all so beautiful in a twisted and psychedelic way. I love crude animation and I’m glad the people who work on projects like these are able to get exposed to a wider audience and shown support. This short is funny and well done and I await the next one.

my favorite attention to detail is how accurate all the price tags are. $60+ for a tank of gas, $5 lottery ticket with a $1k max prize. it adds to how routine everything happening really is.

I worked a food cart as a teenager and having your boss walk in on the phone with a customer while reciting their order at you is so realistic it gave me nostalgia for a job I didn't even like.

(Just not on HBOMAX though. I heard from a certain channel that makes trailers that aren't dishonest that if you say the word "animation" around David Zaslav, he kills you pilot & buries it in the woods.)
