The First Real Images Of Io - What Have We Discovered?

That the earth has only one moon is rather unusual. Jupiter, on the other hand, has a proud 79 previously known moons orbiting around it. Each of them is unique. Each of them is of great importance when it comes to the exploration of our solar system. In contrast to the earth satellite, which does not show much activity, there is a lot happening on other moons. Just Io, one of the many moons of Jupiter is the best example for this.

I'd recheck the math on the surface area of Io relative to the area of Switzerland. How can an object with a diameter 1/4 of Earths have that small a surface area? You are off by a factor of 1000.
