Thank you very much, for me as a new hygienist coming from another country it was very hard to understand different types of cleaning, when we have only one for everybody there, with this video you make so easy to process why every patient needs to be classified, now everything make sense to me 🥰! how do you apply the AAP periodontal classification guidelines if you are a mobile oral health therapist without a protable xray? If you cannot apply the AAP chart, do you maybe just include a prognosis on their treatment plan?

One thing I have a little difficulty grasping is that with the new guidelines there seems to be a greater emphasis on CAL. When our software automatically calculates the CAL after entering probing numbers I can read across the line to see for example: generalized 2-3mm probing depths but reading across the CAL line interdental numbers are also 2, 3 (or more if recession is present) . But, 3 mm probing is WNL, yet a reading of 3 in the CAL line puts a patient in Stage 2? Can anyone help clarify this?
