I love how Jo is always so respectful to the children and how they feel. She never invalidates their feelings or how they view their relationships with their family, she always trys to understand their feelings and makes sure the parents understand how their behavior can hurt their children. She treats them like actual people despite their parents, often times, treating them like they have no feelings or can't have negaive feelings towards how they are being disciplined without it being seen as disobedience. Its really nice to see and shows how caring and empathetic she is. I just really appreciate her and the work she does. :)

I was raised this way. My whole childhood was like this, my parent yelling at me and hitting me with the cane. I cowered in corners and screamed and cried. Trauma. My relationship and constant fear of my own parents, never the same. Relationships are strained because I feel like I can't trust them with my issues because I fear their reaction. I'm scared because they get angry easily like Chris. I really hope this family changed and the kids won't end up like me, strained relationship, not trusting my parents, constant fear.
