Hot in Cleveland revolves around three fabulous L.A. women of a certain age who are best friends( Valerie Bertinelli , Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.) Their lives are changed forever when their plane -- headed to Paris for a girls-only celebration -- unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and they soon rediscover themselves in a new 'promised land'. Looking at her face throughout all these scenes shows me how good a performer she was, what a sense of humor she had, and her ability to think on her feet….some of the best lines are her ad libs. Watching her face when she breaks up is contagious laughter at its best, and funniest. I’m delighted to see her enjoying herself, and glad she had a long run on the planet, even if we wanted more. Meeting her at a book event in 1988 will always be a personal highlight for me.

I've worked with Betty White twice - once on the Golden Girls and then on the first episode of Hot in Cleveland. What you see is what you get, the same in person... smart, and very, very funny. And the the rest of the cast of HIC was wonderful as well.
