What Are You expecting From The 9950x?

Commit to your OCD, 2x 9950x if you're going to keep them attached to the same stand. Otherwise, use that stand for the 7950x's and put the 9000 as a standalone. It might be easier, considering all the 9000 testing that needs to be done.

I think you have it pegged pretty well on the 9950x. It will be more efficient (less power) about same on hashpower as 7950x. Let's hope we're both wrong and it's amazing 😅 are you running a pico adapter to drive both boards from one ps?

It would be nice if you could do a triple rig with 24 pin extensions off of one ATX. More efficient on ATX power but do we know what the 9950's use in wattage? 180W? 240W?

I am thinking about building a CPU miner.. Is it probably worth it? Is anything worth mining besides QUBIC? Or worse: is QUBIC worth mining today?

I had very high expectations for the 9950x, but given the disappointing gaming reviews, I have more doubts now. It seems the 16% IPC increase claimed by AMD was too optimistic and the real world figure is much less.

The 9950x could be a bit better than the 7950x in terms of power efficiency. It uses the 4 nm node from TSMC, instead of the 5 nm one. This should translate into an improvement in power efficiency of at least a 10%.

We'll see soon its true potential for mining, heheh.

On a separate issue, knowing you use HiveOS. I am getting a (LA) High Load Average flag running cpu mining only running RandomXmonero with xmrig-new-xmrig flight sheet. Any ideas why this is occuring. Its showing on both my AMD R9-5900X and i9-14900K rigs.
