I use dryer balls for my clothes. They decrease drying time and nothing bunches up. The best part no chemicals! Yay 😁

I recently bought shampoo for my husband that was causing itching on his scalp, so instead of throwing it away, I used it as a toilet bowl cleaner. Worked beautifully 😊

I make fire starters for our campfires. I stuff the toilet paper roll with dryer lint. Then I run a line of petroleum jelly along the side of the roll. It starts fires very fast. A friend marveled this summer at how fast I could start our camp fires. I owe it all to the roll!

Save rubber bands that you get on produce, etc and reuse them.

My kids used dryer sheets at church camp to keep mosquitos at bay in their cabins. Stick them around the bunk beds and it deters them. 😊

Thank you for the ideas. I save glass bottles. The spaghetti sauce ones. I peel the paper and re use them to store left over in the fridge or to store other things. They come in all shapes. Very useful.

Butter Wrappers --- after unwrapping sticks of butter, put the wrappers in a baggie and keep in freezer. When needing to grease a pan for baking, use a butter wrapper as there is just enough butter residue on them.

I love it when people, like you come up with another way to use everyday items instead of throwing them in the trash! Thanks for sharing 😊

Bread is expensive. I eat the heels.😂😋 They are my favorite part, especially from homemade bread.

I had a lovely Polish Pottery butter dish—then the lid got broken into too many pieces to glue back together. I still have the bottom and use it for a soap dish in the bathroom. Looks nice in its new capacity.

I use bread ends to line the bottom of a baking pan when I make meatloaf. The bread absorbs the grease and makes it easy to remove the finished meatloaf from the pan .. Cleanup is easier too

My brother and I are firm believers in reusing items. I nail hardener on my eye glasses to keep the screws from coming loose or falling out, it works for me.

I use empty prescription bottles for organizing different types of safety pins and also as a sharps container for ruined pins and needles. It keeps the trash collectors safe!

My now 4 year old loves plants. A couple of years ago we planted some sweet pepper plants just for fun. She absolutely loved the tomato plant from a friend so we planted some pepper seeds right out of the pepper. I did not expect anything. We had more pepper plants than we knew what to do with. My mother asked, "how did you get them to grow so fast?" We just put them in dirt for fun. Our living situation was a challenge for growing plants but we still have some of those pepper plants still producing food for us! All thanks to my beautiful daughter loving plants and trying an experiment.

I love these household hints. Some of them have been around for years (I'm 79 so I've collected quite a few hints in my time!)
One thing I learned is that if you use a dryer sheet to clean your lint screen, the substance from the sheet can eventually clog up the screening. Going through regularly and wiping out your dryer and lint trap with a very mild soap and water (very mild, use only a drop Dawn to a quart of water) will stop that problem.

The ‘heel’ of the loaf is my favorite piece to toast!

I am a gardener and use all types of containers for plant starts (yogurt, milk, sourcream)etc. I cut milk cartons in half and use them for multiple seeds such as tomatoes. I also cut some of the tops of the containers with handles and refill them with water, compost tea etc. Gardeners reuse a LOT of stuff, and it is in our nature to keep it out in our garden for reuse. Love your videos!

Did you know that you can put a piece of bread into a bag of sugar that has hardened, , brown sugar or any box of sugar that has hardened, , seal it up and the next morning it will be soft and beautifully fluffy❤

I save all small bags like bread bags, flyer liners, little bags from shipping etc (it is endless😂) and save them for dog poop bags. I have not purchased a poop bag in two years!

I cut old shirts / any absorbent cloth materials to various size "messy cleanup" rags to clean either pet messes, spills etc or for dusting. Then I just throw them out. No paper towel needed! I also use them to clear the dryer lint - same idea as your drier sheets 😊

I also use all kinds of packaging boxes, jars, cereal boxes etc for organizing small items such as underwear in our drawers. Pens in a soup can, endless uses! Free organizing containers.

Thank you for the great tips! This really inspired me to think even more about reusing what we already have ❤
