Recently I read the book 1984 and I can't help but to see similarities, especially in China. This is honestly horrifying that a piece of fictional Dystopian literature can be so easily compared to real life countries and governments.

Just a minute in but there's so much badass ancient Chinese literature that is about resisting tyrannical governments. Too bad they study more works from philosophers such as Han-Fei who held harsh views on how a society should be run.

Jack Ma responded... the Chinese people are just as Innovative as their Western counterparts, but communism, historically, has punished independent thought and rewarded group think. My incubators are a place to encourage independent thought without fear of punishment.

In 2018 two things happen. Xi Jinping became dictator for life, and later that year Jack Ma was forced out of Alibaba.

Important coverage, well composed. As much as it makes me ache to see history rhyming with itself yet again, it's gotta hurt that much more for guys like you and Winston, who've personally felt the potential for the Chinese people to live healthy, wealthy, and happy lives.
