Cyprus, a small Mediterranean country that is a member of the European Nation, has become a "new world" for wealthy Chinese immigrants in recent years. A newly exposed investigation found about 500 Chinese billionaires and officials successfully obtained the "golden passport" from the country. Experts believe that many people have realized that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is collapsing soon, so they are trying to save themselves before this happens.

In recent years, Chinese media also admitted that many millionaires and billionaires in China all choose to transfer their accumulated wealth to foreign countries and change their nationalities.

Sheng Xue, a Chinese-Canadian author said that she knows some Chinese people that hold passports of small Central American countries. It is safer for them to hide their assets and identities there. “They are afraid to be sanctioned, to have their sources of wealth investigated, and to be held accountable for their inhumane crimes committed in countries like the Five Eyes Alliance. Therefore, they are willing to choose those small unknown countries,” she explained. They knew that the Party must collapse sooner or later so they had to flee before the crisis happened.

Previously, Xin Ziling, an expert on China’s institutional system, had revealed in an interview with The Epoch Times that before the 18th National People’s Congress, the CCP had conducted an internal investigation in which it found more than 85 percent of the CCP officials were prepared to flee the Party and family members of these officials had already settled in foreign countries. Xin Ziling said that Xi Jinping admitted in a conference in June 2016 that the CCP has reached the brink of collapsing. Hu Jintao and Wang Qishan have also issued several warnings over the crisis.

I have worked in the high-end home construction business for several years. Business in California has been very brisk for many years. I've met dozens of Chinese elite who come to California to buy luxury homes. They are smart, clean, conscientious, courteous, and are with their families. They pay cash for these large homes and make it their primary residence. Their kids enroll in local schools and they put their millions of dollars into the local economy and the US Stock market.

I've had several of them confide in me that they made their money in China, but do not trust the government. So they secretly get their wealth to the West and will often keep a foot in China to continue their businesses. They make a point to be in China as seldom as possible, and when they are, they're ready to bug out at a moment's notice.

If China weren't such a tyrannical dystopia, they'd happily stay and build their country to be even greater. But because of the corruption and communist rule, they're not looking to stay long term. They'd prefer to live their lives where they can be free and not imprisoned at the whim of a local communist official.

For the Chinese nation, losing these billions of dollars is bad, but losing these elite industrialists is worse.

Will China break up into independent provinces or regions - giving rise to several "Chinas".
When central imperial authority collapsed, China would enter a "warring states" period.
Can't the same thing happen today??
Could China split into Manchuria, Northern State, Coastal State, Southern State, and Western State?
Or some other configuration??
I would presume Tibet and Sinkiang would be able to gain independence if this happens.
If this happens then the threat to the world and region would end, I hope.
