Kai'sa is literally a walking metaphor for Runeterra's conflict with the Void: A bunch of neat ideas that never go anywhere because Riot only progresses narratives when they can tie some sexy new champion or skin to them.

I think Riot tried to make their own version of Samus Aran, but they couldn't figure out what makes Samus' character so good.

Kaisa wearing makeup could've actually worked if her design was any way competent - a desperate attempt by her to look more human and "fit in", have it be a little messy and wrong, trying to cling onto SOMETHING human. Or have it be immaculate because she spends so much time learning because it's her only way of expressing her humanity.

Only works if they give a single shit about her design, you can't try and have her desperate to be human while looking completely human and normal 🙃

Also, she's supposed to be Shuriman, but she looks British and speaks with a british accent. Shurima (like all of the regions) doesn't have too much of an accent across all of it's characters but come on, at least make her look like she's Shuriman.

This video basically expresses how I feel about a lot of champions. It feels like they prioritize they characters looking attractive rather than storytelling.

I do find it pretty funny that league of legends has monster characters in it seemingly trying to entice monster fuckers but then it fully bails in the chance to add Kaisa to the list despite the fact that it would make her design way more interesting and cool

One of the reasons I love Dead by Daylight character designs is because they aren't scared of giving the characters scars, whether it's on their body, like the spirit who has her leg and arm cut off by a katana, or something simple, like a face scar, like on David, who is someone who constantly got into fights when he wasn't within the Entity. Once again, check out the character designs there TBSkeyen, you would love some of the character designs there.
