I was 45 when i first heard of the project. And since 2019 i was afraid due to my health that i would not live long enough to get to witness the deployment and subsequent images. Just a few short months now. I am very excited!!😁

Very happy about this, another great win for science. So excited to see the universe through a new lens and by looking further away, we see further back in time. The James Webb Telescope was named after James E Webb who oversaw NASA during the 1960s. This telescope replaces the Hubble Space Telescope which was named after Edwin Hubble who discovered that our Universe is expanding. Also good suggestion: If you guys have ever heard of Cosmos, the 1980 one done by Carl Sagan and the 2014 and 2020 one done by Neil deGrasse Tyson, it’s highly recommended. I learned a lot through those documentaries about Astrophysics. I’m definitely looking forward to James Webb to expand our understanding of Space Science.

I've been tracking the james webb's progress through various youtube channels and articles. this is exciting to see it hit main stream media. i can't wait for the images it produces.

Every little or major steps of James Webb are exciting but comes with anxiety also. My best musical buddy who worked among the thousands of people on this project is still fighting with his health. Was so happy he saw the launch at last. Now my biggest hope is that he witness the pictures of the stars coming out of it in a few months. Hold on Buddy

The James Webb Telescope is a bigger achievement than the landing of the Moon. Imagine an object going 1.5 million kilometres into deep space without no human on board to guide and deploy. Sensational achievement. I am overjoyed, and in awe over this achievement. Nothing but huge respect to the scientists and engineers that pulled this of. Congrats team!
