Thank God you’re thick skin and you’re not listening to these haters because this is great information. I could feel that there was information out here that I didn’t know. I told myself I wasn’t trying hard enough to find the information that I needed. And I stumbled upon your channel and your information and I want to say thank you very much. It might be a little more work, but it’s a route that I didn’t have before and I’m thankful. Great information!

Pilot Kaity,

Thank you for making this video. I just subscribed to your YouTube channel. I'm sorry you’re dealing with negative comments. It's clear that you’ve worked hard and have been blessed with opportunities to get where you are today. Your videos inspire me by showing how dedication, networking, and faith can help achieve one's goals.

Please continue making these videos. They are awesome and serve as great motivation. I recently learned about the light sport CFI from your content, and it’s amazing to see how it has helped you in your journey. Keep up the good work and continue being a role model for the next generation of pilots.

Best regards,

Keileen Hubbard

Kaity, I found your channel as the algorithm showed your content, as I am going through my PPL course now. I am now a MASSIVE fan and supporter of you, after your thoughts on OF, religion, and your husband's feelings. There is SO much respect for your raw content. Keep up the good work.

My understanding, in the research that I've done, is that being a CFI is very much part of the learning process in becoming a full on pilot. You're working with people who will think and react to things differently than you do/did and that's an opportunity for you to reiterate the information. You've already demonstrated you're competent enough to fly on your own. I don't understand why there would be any hate for the light sport path when nearly flight school that I've found in my area is training people in a light sport air craft until you start getting into multi engines.

Great Job Kaity! You are one of the folks that I am following regularly. You and I have been flying about the same amount of time and I wish I had known you when I was getting started. I have about 20% of your hours and you are in the spot that I am aiming for. It took me 8 years of flying to realize that the journey is different for all of us and that there is no one size fits all approach. Currently working on CFI. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years. There are no shortcuts, but there are certainly ways to be efficient. Thanks for throwing great information out there. Ignore the haters. Keep doing what you are doing!

Super motivational :-) thanks for sharing your experience and a few tips. Starting at ATP in two weeks. Of course I wish I could get it done for much cheaper but at this point, I think ATP has a pretty solid structure and for me that’s very important.

Kaity, an interesting post. I have had my PPL for 3 decades and have been out of the cockpit for a while due to medical issues. But I have encouraged my wife in aviation and she has taken an interest and her first flight recently. I have pointed out you to her and she really appreciates your content when we talk about flying. I am very disappointed to hear about some of the types of comments you have received. Relative to instructing, you have to have a passion for both teaching and flying. My dream retirement is still being a primary flight instructor and light sport makes that possible just based on my PPL once I can overcome the medical issues. What could be better than passing on a skill, flying for free, and lunch money? You are an inspiration to many, especially my wife.

Great job Kaity. While I don’t think you need to respond or make a defense for what you do, you did A great job in this video. And the last minute or two really says it all don’t listen to people that haven’t done it. I need to learn more about this for my son who is a part 61 and currently finishing his instrument on his way to become a CFI, thanks for putting hard work into this. It is valuable, and you deserve to make money on it.

Hey, great video. I am a student pilot right now and working towards my Private Pilot License in a part 141 school. This video definitely has opened a new perspective in me and I am thankful you share this information with other pilots!

Thank you for standing up against OF and saying publicly you're a christian and actually living to those standards. Thank you for sharing your story and helping others. Currently working on my CFI at a 141.

Titled "150k / year job...". 12.5 minutes of disecting being triggered about comments on social media. 30 seconds of on topic content. Bless that was a brutal video.

LOL, I clicked on to watch a video on flight training ideas etc and Kaity ends up talking about OF. I agree with you Pilot Kaity, society is a mess when this type of thing is actually common among a larger percentage of people than I would have ever thought possible. It's almost like what I imagine an acid trip would be like. Living in a crazy world. Happy flying....

I leave negative comments up as well and like you have a great support of followers that will defend Janis and I….only ones I delete are the extremely vulgar ones.
Have a blessed day!!!

Thanks. You’re quickly becoming one of my favorite aviation channels. You definitely took an outside the box approach to getting your ratings which I think will be beneficial for some of my students to know as an alternative option. Appreciate you.

This sounds like a great route for those inclined to teach. Thanks for sharing!

To me this is an awesome way to solve the biggest barrier to becoming a professional pilot, initial capital. However this route is very location dependent. If your city has a flight school which uses LSA’s that’s amazing! If not you’ll have to go the traditional PPL/IR/COM/CFI/CFII. My flight school used to have an LSA (C162), but I don’t think many ppl were renting it so it got sold. Seems like flight schools that have a fleet of and specialize in LSA’s succeed more than ones that have a fleet of 172s and 1 LSA.

Do you think this would be feasible in the Houston area? Doesn’t seem like there’s any flight schools offering LSA’s here.
