I always take my phone and video that rental car before I take off, I do the same thing before I turn it in. I also take a picture of the odometer and the gas gauge when I pick it up, and before I hand the keys back to them. At Hertz you can pre-pay your rental and save some money. And if you’re taking in a long road trip, ask to look at the car before you take off, check the tires, maybe even check the engine oil, check all that to make sure you feel safe driving it. I Can’t tell you how many junky rental cars I’ve gotten, that’s why I check all that stuff before I take off. 🚘

Bam just like that i took your advice used the car rental site and it saved me like 50 bucks vs going direct and i got a full size rental for a week for less than $200. (no isurance) called my insurance broker and she said save your money your fully covered through us. you have a new subscriber! thanks!

I just compared Enterprise via Economy Bookings to Enterprise direct, and Economy Bookings was $15 per day HIGHER than Enterprise direct for the same car :(

im watching this video 4 years later and i need some advice. im 20 years old and im going on a short weekend trip to meet up with my girlfriend (19) for the first time with my 2 other friends(23 and 20). we are going to DC because she lives close by and we’ve already found an airbnb.

My question is will it be hard to rent a car with this young of a crowd? I dont have any credit or anything my friend (23) was gonna rent the car for the weekend but i wanna be sure i can still get it for $35 a day that seems nice and cheap. Also since u live in DC. Do we even need the car or can we take the trains everywhere we plan to visit the museums and things as tourists do. Thank you if you help me the trip is next month

If you have a premium credit card you can get free car insurance through them. Also thanks for the tip about economy booking. I’m looking on their site now for my Colorado ski trip.

It is cheaper but it makes you rent from the airport and you have to show proof that you flying round trip

Im in Denver and ive noticed that rentals are cheaper at the airport then at locations outside or just outside the airport
