I'm about to buy a second hand one of these from someone online. Can't wait to fly it. 😊

great review. nailed the philosophy of use. I have only see other reviewers just say things like "it just depends on what you want to use it for"

Late to your review, but I want to post that I STRONGLY suggest against buying any Parrot product. Just today I finally sent back a Bebop 2 that never worked, never flew. It has taken over a month of fighting with their BS customer support system to even get this far. Their tactic was clearly to just keep running me around until I gave up, which I refused to do.

First- the Skycontroller 2 would not connect to any device. Not my phone via USB cable, and not the drone via WiFi. So it is a paperweight in essence. Then I tried to fly the drone from my phone- it lifted off 2 inches, landed, shut down and never powered up again. Totally dead. That was my experience for $400.

Then the nightmare of their customer service. To call it a hassle and obvious run around wouldn't do it justice. Demands for pictures, videos, fill out forms online-- and then be told that it either wasn't good enough, or they never received it (despite the fact that they actually REPLIED TO THE EMAILS THEY CLAIMED THEY DIDN"T RECEIVE) was bad enough. Including forcing me to file a 'crash report' despite the drone having never flown. Obviously looking for any way to blame me instead of their products just being garbage.
I finally lost my composure and got belligerent on the phone, and suddenly they found all the stuff I sent them and promised to send me a shipping label to return the drone.

Five weeks, eleven emails, six pictures, three videos, six phone to return a drone that never worked once. Does that sound like a reputable company to you?
Spend a little more and just buy a Phantom or Mavic. I do not trust Parrot's products to actually work, and their customer service is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with.

Just trying to clear up a few things here. The camera does NOT move, it's all imageprocessing, meaning it films a big area and crops out the part that you see on your device. So at the very edges of the field of view the picture can be a bit blurred. The propellers does NOT "just come off", they do come off but with a special tool provided. I just keep mine on, it's not worth the hassle. No, it's not the same batteries as the old ones, they don't fit Bebop 1 or the old Sky Controller, sorry. Yes, the drone flies with a WiFi that it generates on its own. No need for sim-card readers on your tablet or such. You power up the drone and your device will find a network called something like "Bebop2drone57280234" and you just connect. Then a free app like Freeflight is used to control the drone and all functions. Unless you have the Sky Controller. Then you connect the device to the controller and the controller will connect you to the drone. Yes, it's worth it. Extended range, finer controls, more intuitive and hdmi so you can connect FPV-goggles (headtracking not supported...) Yes yes, we know, you like to stroke your genitals against your phantom 4 pro claiming it to be better. But this isn't a DJI, it's not a flying observatory, it's a toy in the higher pricerange with a quite good camera and damn good techs for it's price. I hope this makes it easier to figure out what you need to get. Personally I like my Bebop and will stick to Parrot even though I admit DJI superior in many areas.

Great clip, very informative. I don't know why though something about the shape of this drone makes me feel scared, lol.

To be honest, this thing is a blast. I flew mine into a wall on accident on accident once and there was no damage apart from a bent prop.

For those of you deciding, I have worked with Parrot and have decided to move to a different company. My bebop 1 has had multiple engine failures(falling out of the sky, in low wind, away from any objects it could hit). They replaced the original, very quickly, which was awesome. However the replacement did something very similar, and the drone hadn't been flown much at all!(1 and a half hours total). Since it was about 10 days out of warranty, Parrot said they could not help me, but give me a small 20% discount to buy parts to fix it myself or buy a NEW DRONE. (yeah right). So, I have found the Parrot brand to be unreliable, and the footage is average. Do yourself a favor and buy some sort of DJI phantom(some retail right now for 399.99 on amazon or bestbuy.)

From every other source i have found. The camera is not moving, its a fisheye lens that uses software to move the image around

Incorrect the Drone connects to the Controller and then you connect the tablet to the controller. If you are using it without the skycontroller then you can connect direct to the tablet but you dont get as much distance as you would the skycontroller.

You turn on controller first and when lights start blinking turn the drone on this will then enable connection between the 2, once connected you turn on the tablet and connect to the controller.

Actually wrong. If the sky controller comes in a set, then it automatically connects to the drone. If not, you connect the WiFi of the tablet to the controller. Then the controller to the drone. It is big but the WiFi antenna is brilliant and has a great range. The controller is great to use.

very well presented, thank you very much for taking the time to inform us about parrot

The remote is a 3s but the drones battery is a 3s HV nominal @ 11.4 and the one on the sky controller is 11.1 nominal which can be swapped but the one in the controller has less specs

The controller connects to the drone and the tablet connects to the controller which gives you much more range. The way you have it connected is going to result in far less range and video performance. Also the sky controller runs android which can plug to hdmi tv and can be used that way for multiple reasons

Just learning the battery is the same as the drone is very cool ! Thank you !

I'm pretty sure the sontroler pairs to the drone. The huge antenna is not for connecting to the tablet. It's for extra range. That's why your phone pairs to the sky controler not the drone. Your phone can't pair to to wifi hot spots at once. Anyway great video
