Directx Diagnostic Tool "DXDIAG" and How to use it by britec

Click Start / Run and type DXDIAG and hit enter. This is a utility normally used to diagnose problems with Direct X but it shows loads of useful system information you may need someday to fix a computer problem especially with video or sound problems or give a technician useful information to enable him or her to troubleshoot your problem more efficiently.

ok i reinstalled every driver again but still didnt work ... so i decided to format and after reinstal the windows ... and it worked for now

Its a diagnostic tool for Directx, and gives you useful info on sound, graphics etc

when i run the test the box jumped verry fast and 3d box was spinning so fast i culdnt see the logo. Is that a problem?

1. Update to the latest Bios

2. Make sure ram is seated properly

bri if i cant see the 3d box i mean im getting a blue screen but its fast and i cant read what made it hapen ... so can you help me can it be the video card?

try putting directx 9 on again if still the same, update graphics card drivers. let me know what how you get on.

my all feathers are enabled what i do i have installed directx and when i'm installing harry potter and the order of the pheonix it says u have no direct x 9.o download it...help me plzzz

Can anyone help, on my Dxdiag under the display option it doesnt let me press the Test Direct3D button, is there a reason for this? Its a lighter grey kinda colour which means you cant press it if you get what I mean, any ideas?

weird, when i open up dxdiag and go to display in total mem. it says 828mb;p.s i have mobile intel 4 chipset (4500m)
