Great review Sir. So many nice little touches on this bike and it sounds lovely too!

Been trying all the usual suspects in the naked middleweight class. Had my heart set on the Triumph, but that soon changed after I rode the MT-09. Took it out for a couple of hours and ended up buying it right there and then. Took me back to my motorcycling roots, so much fun so long as you ride it properly! Awesome price for a bloody good bike!

good all round review there and im quite sure if you thought something was shite you would say it was, ,, that's the beauty of a review of a bike that you don't own, , no bias just say it how it is good stuff shane

I´m just waiting for some money and then....here i go to buy the beast!!!!
I was worried about the throttle and the shock until i´ve watched your review! Your explanation on the throttle it´s very enlightening, about the shock i´m preparing myself to buy a Ohlins.... Great review, honest and fun, nothing like those negative reviews from triumph owners! ;))))

FIRST!

Great review, glad you prefer the 09 over the 07. If I had £6-7 grand going, I'd be torn between this and another bike I'm looking at, the Yamaha Bolt. But, that is a completely different beast.

What a great review! Very thorough; I enjoyed it a lot, thanks.

The MT-09 has my wallet smouldering but as you say, there's a lot of power available in the MT and I wonder, do you think it'd be too much of a jump from my current machine, which is a carbed Suzuki SV650? I don't want to jump onto one only to bin it!

I suppose the fact that the MT has three modes might make the transition a little less sudden but your thoughts would be appreciated, please. :-)

Great review, used to own 2 sv 650's, would I get bored of the Mt-07 ? I cant decide on the 09 or 07 ! the thing that sways me for the 07 is the sound once you put a decent can on and the looks. The 09 on the other hand has the power and the choice of modes ... help!

Nice review!
If you had to choose between the street triple and the MT-09, wich one would you take? I cant decide between these two! Think the throttle response is very snatchy on the MT-09, or I think it have more like a "transmission gap" when you go from no throttle to throttle there is a "clunk" before its goes, makes it very hard to revmatch etc. I think. Maybe there was too much play in the throttle grip?!

Nice review Mate, But it only has a 14 ltr tank range and no wind protection, So not much use for anything in the real world. That, 's why I bought a Fazer 8.

Good vid, Mr B, I must admit, I also would go for the MT09 over the 07, maybe because it brings out the Hooligan in ya, lol, RSMF RI.

Can you compare MT09 with MT07 more in detail? There is nearly no info about both motorbikes. I started with 125cc last year, I got different level of educations last year and this year from Honda and I plan to buy MT07. But I really want to know whether B mode is much more aggressive than MT07 or not? I heard seating position is more relaxed on MT07. If you compare them from my point of angle (first big bike), I will appreciate.

Mr B, what would you recommend to get the shocks set up for optimum fun?

I nearly got one when I got the XJ-6. Maybe the next bike.

How does this compare to the R6 I want something different as the R6 kills my shoulders. I'm a new rider and was considering the MT-07 but am used to the power of the R6 and feel I'd be bored on the 07. I thought my throttle was snatchy on the R6 but now used to it! If it's the same as the Mt-09 then I won't have a problem... I'm a fan of the street but the Yamaha is cheap :)

Mate, hand on Heart. If you have a Busa...Things are just a lil different than if you have a..Ohh....Lets say...Er...Erm...A CBR600 or...Similar ;-)

The front wheel in *All* Modes will give you ...Elevation...Mate, such a light bike, almost felt like a 125...Really!
So, did you appreciate the Torque? I haven't ridden a Busa but I want to hear your thoughts on the Torque?? Compared to a Busa, maybe it's Similar?

Seat is crap though, I agree :-)

Cheers matey, love this bike but I want a Beamer 1000R ;-) And yes, it always starts up in 'Standard' :-)

Wow - that 1st person view is scary, if all the cars are approaching on the wrong side of the street ;-)
