I'm exactly the same, so don't worry about the number too much. It's just such a nice feeling to have an unread library at home to chose from. :) Try to prioritize Project Hail Mary when you're in the mood for scifi. It's sooo good.

I love having a large TBR. It keeps me reading because I will look around and there is always something that I really want to read within arms reach. And when libraries and stores closed down during Covid and Amazon was not keeping things in stock, I was SO thankful to have a fairly large selection of books at my disposal!

Don't worry about that number! I also have over 150 unread books (and I'm not even a booktube/bookstagram person I just really like books lol) but I find it really helpful to know proportionally how many unread books I have- for me, so long as more than 50% of my collection read I'm happy. I think my scales have tipped though, as I've continued doing a 5-10 book haul every couple months but I've gone back to school so my reading pace went from 5-7 books a month to 2-3 books so I'm officially outpacing myself lol

I would love to see you do the Books with Emily Fox "One week one shelf" challenge! Basically during a month you randomly choose one of your unread shelfs every week and pick one book and one audiobook. ❤️

Ooh, I used to have 200+ unread books and it took me 2-3 years but now my unread shelf sits under 20! It feels good to have a small tbr, but I like knowing I have options to read, too. 🙈

Maybe you should do a reading vlog themed after finishing series! Apollo & Magnus Chase & Tristan Strong would be great to include in it. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I read about 150 books a year and my TBR still stays around 250ish. I love having a lot to choose from at any given time since I’m a mood reader. So you’ll only find support of large TBRs here 😊

It's honestly not a bad thing. I think a little less than half of all the books I own are unread too. It's nice to know you can reach for them whenever!

My reading challenge for Goodreads this year is to get my unread books to under 15. (And theoretically keep it there.) I made categories which helps. 10 unread books, 3 unlistened to audiobooks and 2 unread devotionals. To reach this goal, I need to read 44 books this year. I’ve read 17 so I’d say it’s working. (Technically I did just receive a dozen old classic Nancy Drew books but I’m not including them in this year’s goal.) I also made a bookshelf on Goodreads of all my unread books so I can see the total go down as I finish books:)

I spent *time* learning how to say that one so now it sticks out 🙃 I definitely think you could do like a translated books challenge, an Asian author challenge (Chloe just did koreadathon which was fun) or like every month do a weeklong challenge for authors or settings of a particular country
