Red Hot Poker is a perennial plant in most zones. It's pretty much maintenance-free and looks good most of the year.

I appreciate the effort that you put into making this: 1 year of filming in the same video. It's nice to see it all at once, instead of doing separate videos.

Great video!
I started some from seed last year and they’re just blooming for the first time now. I really appreciate that your video showed life for a full year, and not just at planting or blooming times. Thank you so much, make more please.

These are so gorgeous. I have a plant I started a few years back, but I think it’s a little overcrowded in the area and seeing this lets me know I need to move it. Thank you!!!! I love this plant so much.

This is the most informative video for this plant 👍 I have this in my garden (England UK) for a couple of years, its just finished flowering and I was wondering what to do as I just left it last year until winter when I just cut of the flower heads, it did flower again this year but the leaves are looking bedragled ... now I know what to do so it will look tidier next year 👍 Thank you so much for the tutorial. It's a shame we don't have Humming birds in this country 😒 Thank you again.

Hi, thank you so much for the video. It’s so informative. I saw these at a camp and it took me forever to find out what they were called, they’re gorgeous and I want to plant them in my area and it’s the right zone. My question is, I see that you were talking about the seeds and where they were located where it was dry, but how do I do that if I want the seed so I can plant more. I intend to buy a couple of these that are rooted and alive and then I want to propagate them. Can you give me any information on how I would do that. I have fallen in love with gardening and I am trying so hard to keep everything alive. Usually, I don’t have luck with it, but I’m trying to take the time and learn about the plants that I am planting, this is my dream plant and I really want to know how I can get seeds from the ones that I’m going to get and plant more and how I go about doing that any information you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. The hummingbird was gorgeous. Your garden was gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge, may God bless you 😃

Thank you! Should you trim back the leaves of the plant in the fall or wait until spring? (I live in California)

If you cut the dry ones, can you harvest the seeds?

Is it beneficial to the plant to divide it when it gets large?
