In this video, I'm reacting to Lindie Botes speaking French. The point of this video is to learn/revise French grammar and vocabulary. I don't try and correct everything, but rather I go through some of the common confusions in French. Hopefully you will find it useful :).

The thing I always notice in the pronunciation of French by English speakers is the "ou" as in "aujourd'hui." We tend to shorten the sound as if the word is "aujord'hui". For someone who is rusty in French, she does really well. Thanks for your tip on "in order to" for "pour." I hadn't heard that before. Parfois, je fais la faute d'utiliser "de" au lieu de "pour", mais mes partenaires de langue française ne me corrigent jamais pour cette faute, alors je continue à la faire.

Amo este tipo de vídeos, já que aprendo muito! Espero que faças mais, não só reacting aos youtubers mas reacting às celebridades também.

I always enjoy these videos. They are very helpful to me as an intermediate learner myself. Very interesting that she makes the type of mistakes that you often hear from native English speakers because I'm pretty sure that her native language is Afrikaans. Not that I don't make a ton of mistakes myself, they just don't tend to be the ones that English speakers make as English is not my native tongue.

Salut. Je découvre cette vidéo par hasard (algorithmique). Et je veux juste te dire que je suis épaté par ta manière de corriger, pleine de tact. 👌

Hi Kevin, et bonjour !
I really liked this video. I like Lindie's content and it was very interesting to see your comments on her French
Actually I make the "Mauvais - Mal" and the "ecouter - entendre" mistakes too sometimes, so I guess they are quite common

Thanks for this vid! Will there be more videos on people's French accent? I wanted to participate last time, but was late :D

How would you say 'there's no way' as in 'there's no way you did that, ' or 'there's no way you're ready for the journey?' Basically, disbelief that something is true.

Nice video! I find these kind of analysis videos really helpful - I was wondering about the « je peux comprendre plus que je ne peux parler » sentence though, I thought you always had to have a corresponding negative word to go with « ne » ?! What rule am I missing here haha
