I would choose the Evora GT. That is fortunate as I have one parked in my garage. :-)

16:06 I drove the Evora 400 yesterday at a dealer for the 1st time. I owned a 2001 Boxster S for 10 years. In my opinion I would go with the Lotus. You could daily both, Porsche would be easier for sure. As a weekend car no question Lotus. I enjoyed everything about the lotus driving experience. Parking will be a lot more challenging in the lotus.

Great comparison, seems like the Cayman is the better car but the Evora is the better experience. Who else besides Porsche would you say can do EPS properly? It seems like nobody else is close to their implementation.

The Lotus makes a great daily. It is entertaining at low speeds while the Porsche can feel boring around town. The suspension is very forgiving and comfortable and there is plenty of storage for normal things.

Still waiting to see this comparison with the Cayman GTS 4.0 .

Evora and Emira are both unique propositions as modern but old school sports cars with a reliable power train and fairly low maintenance costs. Did you notice a big difference in build quality between the two, particularly with regards to predicted long term ownership? Honestly I prefer the analog gauges and swappable head unit of the Evora, but not if I have to deal with more rattles and trim pieces falling off.

My benchmark is still the 981 Cayman GTS because it had that na flat six, great build quality, and could corner better than I was willing to push it on track.

Great review on both cars!

Mostly here as we both have an Emira on order and I’m highly curious how it compares to the Evora.
