By this point, i realised how incredibly intense the tolls of this war were on everyone. As a kid, it was so easily overlooked and forgotten, but Katara was genuinely considering revenge/murder. It hits a bit deeper to watch this scene as an adult, seeing how the entire group was forced to mature in such a short period of time

When Zuko first joined "Team Avatar", Katara pulled him to the side and told him that if he betrayed Aang, his "destiny would come to an end".
I'm sure that sound bite was rattling around his brain pan during this scene, and the earlier scene where she used bloodbending.

When Hama invented blood bending, she terrorized fire nation soldiers. When the fire nation learnt Hama is from the southern water tribe they became very afraid, so instead of taking in prisoners they decided to kill every southern water tribe water bender.
