Thanks for this, I didn't realize you could drag and drop .mp3 right into the timeline. btw, not all songs in the YT library have attributes - you can do a search with or without them.

When I drag and drop my audio file it just places the audio right on top of the video clip so I am unable to edit the audio.

(It doesn't drop below your video content like seen at 6:55)

I figured out how to add background music to my iPhone video using iMovie but then when I download it back to my photo album the video size is much smaller than the original video without the music. How do I maintain the video size after adding the music and downloading it to save?

Just want to give you a heads up. I have only used iMovies for my YouTube video’s. 2 of my videos had to be re-edited because there was a copyright issue with music I had used from the music files in iMovies. Just letting you know..
