I can optimise this solution more.
Instead of screen record you can download that song using YouTube video downloader and once you have a video.
Goto iMovie just like you did plus icon add video and instead of click and add, click the video which you want and there comes small menu with 3 dots click that and select audio only which imports only audio of selected video❤

You can also do this but for me, you can press the video and 3 options will come out, press the 3 dots and press audio only and it will automatically put it in and you don't have to drag the audio to the actual video, it will just put it in.
