What is functional cognitive decline?
Functional cognitive decline is when a person reports having memory or thinking problems but usually without the physical issues seen in other dementias. It's a new term and can range from mild memory concerns to more serious dementia.
When we say subjective cognitive decline, we mean someone who feels like they're having memory problems but hasn't been diagnosed with anything yet.
