I love Rupert's response..No concrete intellectual nonduality from Rupert.. Why not allow all rules to fall away and flood the heart with poetry in gratitude to God? Not to worry...The very falling away of the rules reminds us that we are one with God..

I literally told a guru i was doing this, speaking to awareness through him in my mind...the love and the gratitude. Told him how much i appreciated him. He told me that all of that was daddying him, and the he kicked me out if the sangah when i disagreed. Happened today.

Amazed how our experience is the same! I have the same habit of talking to god and myself since i was a kid. I have diaries and diaries of such conversations. Now i know that god myself and me are the same thing. :)

GREAT question. Here is my unsolicited answer. God is the name we give to the innate, benevolent higher intelligence within and beyond all creation. When you talk to the human “self, ” you are exploring your physical mind (mind is physical, science now shows—it is a complex series of electrical impulses that we perceive as thought). When you go beyond the finite mind that we refer to as “me, ” it is the divine “self, ” aka God.

I call it "channelling." I first noticed it when I was writing a novel, and I needed a character to be basically infinitely wise. Well, how the heck am I supposed to write a character that's infinitely wise, since I am not? What I did was just write from the perspective of the other character talking to the infinitely wise character. Asking it questions. Making demands. And the answers would just come. Years later, I find most of them spot on. I've finally caught up to whatever I was channeling.
