Hi Danny! Glad you mentioned the Monorail. I think that’s an unsung hero of getting around IF you’re staying at a hotel with a station behind it. All day passes and such are a great value. Just not when a convention is in town because of the crowds using it. I have a similar unbelievably good turkey story. I took my then elder mom, since has passed, to Vegas for thanksgiving. My brother and his wife live in Henderson. Well while eating in one of the casino restaurants mom got sick and was ambulanced to Spring Valley Hospital. She was in her early 90’s then so they stabilized her and admitted her to be cautious. The next day was Thanksgiving. I came back to spend the day with her and they served the Thanksgiving dinner for lunch for her. It smelled really good, Danny. She said it was delicious. The nurse came in to check on mom and told me the cafeteria is serving the dinner all day and it’s all they serve today. One price soup to dessert. I asked if it was what mom’s meal was based on. She said the patients get modified versions, like low salt and fat, but the same chef prepares it all. She said it is his time of the year, and Christmas, to totally show off and everybody loves his cooking and this one is amazing. Needless to say I went and got it. It was all served and carved fresh to order. The whole cafeteria row was in use and looked and smelled awesome. I got it all carefully packaged in to go packaging and shopping bags, so much food, Danny! I think it was $12 or so, whatever it was a bargain. This was 10-11 years ago or so. Well I got to enjoy some of the best turkey and thanksgiving meal with my mom and even better was when they released her and I could take her home. In 2018 she passed at 99.5 a tough old bird to the end. ❤️ Thanks for bringing back a fond memory.
