It was actually more than the Force Scream, of why Palpatine was able to finish them off easily. First, yes, the force scream was a first factor, that gave the advantage to Palpatine to freeze his enemies. Second, his master Darth Plagueis forced Palpatine to learn all forms of lightsaber combat. His main form of light saber combat skills, was a hybrid combination from form 1 all the way to form 7 based in form 6 as the base form, this gave Palpatine a huge advantage along with his aggressive style. This made the Jedi masters get confused and not being able to counter his attacks, in other words he was unpredictable with the hybrid combo. Last, Palpatine is highly trained in infusing his darkside force with his lightsaber abilities, this makes Palpatine even faster and more challenging. The only reason Windu was able to win, was because of two factors: One, Palpatine was buying sometime for Anakin to arrive, which was a huge mistake considering Windu would take this as an advantage, and two, Windu used Vaapad, so the more Palpatine fought Windu, the stronger he became like a reflection to the sith, along with his own strength in the Force added to it. This is something that Palpatine noticed lately, so he depended on Anakin to attack Windu.

Force Scream is basically a mass paralysis ability or spell.

If you read the novel, it explains how he uses force squeeze to squeeze all their balls, so they were completely vulnerable. But Mace anticipated that attack and he used cock block to defend from force squeeze.

I think also in the books, it is said that Palpatine moved so quickly that he was a blur and they could barely see him. However this wasn't really shown well in the film 😅

Without a doubt the most powerful Force Scream was the one Exar Kun made in triumph after destroying Freedon Nadd and fully embracing the Dark Side. It was so powerful, even Nomi Sunrider felt from another planet

What didn’t help was the confined space they were in. They had no room. Kit couldn’t get a good defense going as he’s being careful not to hit Mace. Once the three are down, Mace was able to maneuver the fight into a bigger area. Or, the should have spread out into the office more.

Force scream can be useful for jany eituations, actually. For example, Ulic Qel-Droma used it to free himself from a powerful torture machine and Darth Caedus used it to tell his family to flee just before he died.

Weird how Palpatine didn't finish off Windu... it's like he's saving Windu for last. And make sure Windu is on the defense a second until Anakin arrives. Talk about coincidences.
