my old glasses arm broke off a like 5 months ago (idk how) and my new ones i have rn just broke the same way once i noticed it was loose and i noticed the screw fell out. I dont wanna tell my dad cuz he’ll definitely get mad since i just got them but i can use these hacks to temporarily fix it. hopefully i can ask to get it fixed for my birthday which is coming up.

My glasses in middle school had this problem, if only I had thought to use a paperclip, it would've worked much better. Instead I used fishing line, it worked well but I had to replace it once or twice and they were always noticeably crooked, not by looking at me but they always felt lopsided on my face, it bugged me constantly. I grew to ignore it, but there was always a feeling of small dread of this bothersome contraption I made, regardless if I was thinking of it, it just always lingered there, the feeling, in my head.

Only works if somehow the screw magically falls out, would have to be really loose without you noticing for that to happen. Usually if glasses break, they’re broken. I’d say this fix would be common sense but probably isn’t.
