Great explanation! Another fun fact is that, when checking the answer by making the calculation, the value on both sides equals the Y value of the graph intersection. So both results are shown in the graph to check afterwards:)

Please check your graphing settings by pressing "2nd" "ZOOM" to activate the 'FORMAT' option. 4th line down should be options for AxesOn/ AxesOff. Be sure that AxesOn is selected (darkened). If it isn't, scroll down to it and press "ENTER" to activate it.

Outside of that, I would need to see your screen. Hope this helps. Let me know how it comes out.

I appreciate your video. I'm a bit older than the average student. In fact, the last time I studied Algebra was about 15 years ago. Now I'm being thrust into sink or swim mode with a math class covering linear equations, and another covering pre-calc. Your video is the most succinct I've found. Thank you for this. I would just remind you that once you have found the intersect point, the x value can be recalled using the X button. Also, I am struggling to think of a straight line that does not have a linear equation, what examples were you thinking of?

Thanks for the vid helped me pass my test but you can also use the numeric solver right? it worked for me. you go to math and all the way down and put in the equation.
