Splatoon 2 – Get Better in 4 Minutes by Learning Sub Strafing

Sub strafing is a thing that top-level Splatoon players do, and you should do it too to achieve higher performance at this game. It's easy to learn and it, along with main-strafing, can take your game to the next level.

This video is also an experiment to see if I can get more subscribers by asking for them 3 times in one video WHOOPS

Thank-you for collaborating with me! Bravo, this video turned out great!

I'm seeing some comments which seem a little confused about some things I would like to clarify.
- How to do it? He didn't say it in voice *explicitly* but instead demonstrated in the video, that you need to do that popping in and out of the ink motion seen in the video in addition to holding sub or main button down.
- "WTF I keep throwing bombs!" - Most people have issue with this, and the key is to make sure to let go of sub-button before exiting the ink when you want to stop sub-strafing. This is the only slightly difficult thing to learning how to do sub-strafing, but an hour or two of practice in turf wars should be all you need to be set for life.

Anyways, that's it, hope this comment helps some ppl, and again excellent work! I mean it! I myself hit that sub button a long time ago! (You are actually one of the few channels on YouTube I am subscribed to, because I don't watch much YouTube. -E)

WHile this is good info, their is no better feeling than finding a person trying to "outmanoeuvre" you, jumping all about, if duelies than sliding in out and around and using 2 swim speeds and walk speeds. And just smacking them with a roller.

Sub-strafing is EXTREMELY useful in Salmon Run. I pretty much got used to sub-strafing by playing Salmon Run frequently.

Thanks for watching! And comment if you have any tips for Sub Strafing, or Splatoon 2 tips in general. And don't forget to Subscribe!
(It's almost as if I didn't already say that 3 times in the video WHOOPS)

And thanks again to Paradigm & Erico who helped me tremendously with this video script! (They're much better at this game than me)

He really said "4 minutes no more, no less, I can't edit"
But glad to see another video always love seeing your content even if you find it hard to get the motivation to do so. Keep up the good work

The speed of his speech and the video and how confused I was when I clicked on this and he just immediately started "SO YOU'RE PLAYING SPLATOON AND THERE'S THE GUY PRESSING EVERY BUTTON AT ONCE" is very fitting of what this video is about

I can’t tell the difference between sub-strafing and not sub-strafing, I just use 3 mains and 6 subs of ssu.

Nice - I was main strafing without even knowing it was a thing or that it was faster. Guess I'll sub strafe as well, now that I know about it.

I learned sub strafing a long time ago, I just never found a practical application for it other than picking up clams, eggs, and the rainmaker.

Took me an entire week to fully integrate Sub-Strafing into my gameplay back then; but man was it worth the frustration. Sub-Strafing just grants you that extra maneuverablility option that can grant you access to outplay an opponent, the applications are near endless; it's real handy against Chargers too, instead of going in a predictable straight-line, you can use Sub-Strafing to mix up your movement and mess up the Chargers aim, forcing them to either wait for the shot or make a reactionary flick. Sub-Strafing is important for getting better in Splatoon.

Substrafing is easy. _remembering_ to substrafe is hard.

I gotta practice this, cause when I got to S rank it was like “Oh god I don’t belong here, put be back down to A” and swapped some gear for swim speed gear to keep up
