I had this done yesterday and felt/remembered nothing after getting the injection through a port in my arm ...I remember suddenly seeing the ceiling tiles become distorted and thinking okay this is different..i m definitely beginning to feel foodie. Then I woke up and heard them say my name and that it was all done. But as soon as I was aware I began crying /sobbing and heard at least 3 people ask me to please stop crying ..it took a minute.i was thinking of other problems when I was crying.Now I'm tired and mostly sleepy but out of afib. I won't be afraid if I need it again and I hope I feel better soon.

Can it prevent heart attack or reduce the risk of getting heart attack?

200J! never seen a cardioversion at 200J, the max almost always is 150J and often 50J are enough, even more with the a/p electrode position...
